About Education
Educational activities started in 1943 when the Department has been founded. Prof. Mirko Soukup gave the first lectures in electronics. From 1945 till 1946 the Department was left without staff and had no activities. In 1946 Prof. Vinko Albert joined the Department and started with courses "Radiotechniques" and "Electronic Valves and Applications", and in the next year with Amplifiers and Receivers.

In the period until 1961 some new courses were introduced: Electronics and electronic techniques, High-Frequency Techniques, Application of electronics in surveying, Industrial electronics and Electronics. In 1961 courses were transformed and got new names: Electronic devices, Electronic circuits I and II. Some new elective courses were introduced. In that period in addition to Prof. Albert to the development of teaching special contribution was made by professors Borislav Juzbašić, Ivan Hruška and Stanko Turk. In 1967 new courses were introduced: Pulse and digital electronics, Electron devices II and some electives.

The activity in computer science resulted in 1971 with the introduction of new courses: Computer aided Design, Digital Computers and some electives. During the last transformation of curricula in 1981 new courses in the field of computer science and microelectronics technology started. The list of courses is given separately.
